north devon marquee wedding
Our happy couple were married in mid June meaning a whole host of beautiful seasonal flowers were on offer. This wedding was flowered with 100% British blooms, all lovingly grown by local flower farmers throughout the South West.

Sophisticated, elegant yet natural was the tone for the wedding flowers for this completely stunning 100% British flowered wedding. June is a fabulous month for seasonal blooms because peonies are in season, the garden roses are in full swing and if you are lucky, one of the most special flowers ‘mock orange’ will be in bloom. Our couple were married at a local church and held their reception at their family home, a truly wonderful wedding full of the most beautiful flowers.
The bridal bouquet consisted of crisp ivory roses and peonies, alongside dainty textured in the form of Astrantia, mollis, spray roses with wispy touches of summer foliage. A round, contained, yet textured hand tied was the perfect accompaniment to the most exquisite wedding dress. The bridesmaids carried similar style bouquets, yet we added in touches of blush and warmer pink to add colour and differentiate between the bridal bouquet.
The boys looked super smart in tails and wore simple buttonholes of white cornflowers with foliage sprigs.

It was so important to fill the local church with beautiful flowers, I created a stunning statement installation at the front of the church, full of scented garden roses, blousy peonies, alongside incredible trailing branches of mock orange. A blossom like flower, it adds the most crucial movement to an installation and really made the flowers feel as if they had grown along the lychgate themselves and always been there! The flower arch was full of Cornish foliage such as beech and birch bringing that lush green summer feel to the flowers, alongside scented honeysuckle which is truly reminiscent of an English country garden. Just the look we were going for!
Meadow style arrangements in wicker baskets and troughs lined the entrance to the church, alongside stunning statement urn arrangements dressing the aisle. We had access to the most gorgeous locally grown foxgloves, lupins and stocks for height alongside frothy ammi to really add that look of elegance.
Inside the marquee we created a hanging installation to surround the circular bar, full of british trailing foliage with touches of florals, it added atmosphere and drama to the ceiling of the marquee, emphasising the dance area and bar. DIY bucket flowers from local flower farms were supplied to the family who did a fabulous job of the table flowers.
“The biggest thank you for the flowers. I knew they’d look incredible, but the church & marquee were exceptional. Thank you so much for bringing it all to life.”
