North Devon
Summer Marquee wedding
Our brief for this wedding was to focus on predominantly ivory seasonal blooms yet bringing in a touch of warm soft butter yellow. Being in June, this lent itself perfectly to sourcing beautiful local daisies, sweetpeas and roses as the focal flower. Scented stocks, delphiniums, Larkspur and campanula also featured heavy throughout providing a ‘country garden’ feel to the wedding flowers.
A marquee wedding in Devon
Coxleigh Barton, Barnstaple
Our bride chose a natural and elegant style bridal bouquet, to compliment her beautiful dress perfectly. The yellow of the daisies really do work so well against the delicate spray roses, and the sweet peas will always bring a divine scent to any bouquet. The bridesmaids wore dusky coral satin dresses, a glorious colour for a June wedding.
The wedding took place outside in front of the rolling Devon hills, with a meadow inspired floral aisle lining the bride’s walkway to the ceremony. A floral aisle is a great way to dress your ceremony, providing colour and interest throughout the whole length of the aisle provides great impact, and looks fabulous in photos too!
Arrangements for outdoor weddings
We dressed the marquee tables with glass votives and bud vases full of stocks, campanula, roses, daisies, snap dragons and foliage to compliment. The fresh ivory and yellow tones for so well against the mossy green linen, and really add a great depth to the marquee decor.
“I really hope you’re well. I wanted to send you a proper thank you now that the dust has settled after what was the most amazing wedding - we were so lucky to have such incredible suppliers (yourself included) and glorious weather, which made for such a perfect day. Thank you so much we were super happy with the flowers!”
