The most beautiful spring wedding at Almonry Barn!

I have a real showstopper of a wedding to share with you today! Sam and Tom were married in Mulchelney Church and celebrated at Almonry Barn in April, choosing the most beautiful wedding flowers for their big day. Sam wanted to go for an elegant, all white spring wedding, yet filled with seasonal flowers and natural looking foliage. Ranunculus, anemones, mascara, stocks all featured heavily, and I think you will agree the barn looked stunning.

Sam’s bouquets were filled with roses, ranunculus, scented white lilac, veronica and anemones. Perfect seasonal flowers available for an April wedding… alongside the soft grey eucalyptus varieties and senecio. The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets and the boys wore mixed, tied spring buttonholes tied with twine. I just love the variety these buttonholes offer!

I decorated the beautiful old church in Mulchelney with stone urns filled with seasonal flowers, and pew ends. Milk churns were placed at the entrance to the church, a great welcome for the guests on arrival! All of these flowers were dutifully carried over to the barn after the ceremony by the Ushers… adding more decoration to the barn. A great idea and something to think about when planning your wedding flowers!

Almonry Barn is one of my absolute favourite wedding venues to work at, Louise has done an incredible job with the barn and it was a real joy to fill the barn with flowers again. We opted for tall glass vases on the tables, filled with a large, natural arrangement of hydrangea, roses, stocks, snap dragons amongst loads of foliage. I also managed to get my hands on some spirea, which has a short season and a small blossom/twiggy like flower!

Around the base of the flowers I used mixed glass bottles and votives filled with white blooms, adding more interest to the table top. Each napkin also had a sprig of either foliage or a single flower placed on it… such a personal touch.

If you hadn’t realised by now, I absolutely loved working on Sam and Tom’s wedding, and was so thrilled when all of the wedding flowers came together on the day. The biggest of congratulations to you both!
