With a busy start to the wedding season with lots of pretty spring weddings, May is when it really kicks off here at The Rose Shed! My workshop has been full to the brim with so many beautiful seasonal blooms, it is the month where two of my favourites collide and can be found in nearly all of my weddings. Ranunculus and Peonies… the super, pretty, fluffy, ruffled petaled flowers they are up there for the all time favourite flowers to use for weddings.
I want to share a few photos of the flowers that have headed out the workshop door to my lovely brides so far this month. Travelling all over the Cotswolds, Bristol, Bath and Somerset I get to visit some stunning venues, some of my old favourites such as Priston Mill, and ones I have worked in only a few times before like Quantock Lakes and Clevedon Hall.
As you can see from these photos, the amount of seasonal goodness available in May is so extensive, and definitely works around the more natural, loose, blowsy look of flowers with lots of foliage thrown in (I mean arranged in!) for good measure. Which one is your favourite?! Huge Congratulations to all of my lovely couples, and looking forward to finishing off May in style with more beautiful weddings to flower. Onwards and Upwards!
