Funeral Flowers in Bristol – Flowers to say goodbye
I don’t tend to blog funeral flowers, however I was luckily enough to provide funeral flowers for a lovely family in Bath recently and they were so thrilled they took photos and sent them over to me! I thought it would be a good opportunity to share and provide inspiration for those of you who may be looking for funeral flowers in the local area of Bristol or Bath.

Diana sadly lost her Mother, who by all means had planned every aspect of her funeral, including the flowers. In Diana’s words her mother had ‘exquisite taste’ and I completely agree with that from her Mother’s flower choice. From looking at my website she chose a brides bouquet and based her flower decisions on that colour scheme of peaches and creams. It was important to keep the flowers seasonal and most importantly to include the David Austin peach rose variety called ‘Juliet’ such a stunning rose.

I designed a beautiful coffin spray filled with seasonal spring flowers in peaches, ivory and creams including roses, spray roses, stocks, tuberose, lisianthus, peach parrot tulips and ranunculus. I used lots of soft grey foliage such as eucalyptus and included rosemary which is key to remembrance and also smells lovely, the flowers were also softened by the white ginista.

The family had also asked to send flowers which could be enjoyed at home after the funeral, which I think is always a lovely idea. I created various spring flower filled baskets and trugs which are easy to transport and to then be enjoyed for the days after the funeral. Filled with tulips, freesias, stocks, blossom, ranunculus, ginista I really did have the pick of the choice spring flowers!

I received such lovely feedback after the funeral and it really made me think how much joy flowers can bring at even the saddest of times. Flowers are there to provide happiness at all key moments in one’s life and I really do feel very honoured in being able to help people at these times through the power of beautiful flowers.
