Coombe Lodge Wedding Flowers – Bristol Wedding Florist

I am so excited about sharing these wedding flowers with you! I provided flowers for Jocelyn and George’s wedding at the glorious Coombe Lodge just outside Bristol. It is always such a treat to decorate this elegant venue, and with these beautiful spring flowers too! As soon as I met Jocelyn I knew I would love making her wedding flowers, pale pink, pale blue and ivory spring, seasonal flowers…just perfect!

Jocelyn’s hand tied bouquet was filled with ranunculus, muscari, delphiniums and the fabulous O’ Hara roses which have amazing ruffled petals and a divine old fashioned rose scent. The subtle pastel colours of the bouquet worked brilliantly together and the flowers were softened up by pale pink astilbe and soft grey eucalyptus sprigs. Jocelyn’s three bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet.

The boys wore pale pink ranunculus with foliage sprigs and I added in some muscari for the Groom. Finished off with ivory ribbon these buttonholes looked very smart!

For the ceremony I placed two large pickling jars filled with pale pink hydrangea, viburnum and pussy willow either side of the big window that you get married in. These framed the ceremony table perfectly and I always enjoy filling up these jars with beautiful blooms! I also placed a couple of the table decorations on the ceremony table to add colour.

For the tables I filled glass kilner jars filled with a seasonal mix of ranunculus, tulips, delphiniums, astilbe, stocks and lisianthus. Quite an informal arrangement yet packed full of flower and scent from those white stocks.

I decorated the mantelpiece with glass bottles and jars filled with all of the above blooms. This is a wonderful way to decorate this space and the flowers really do stand out against the neutral walls at Coombe Lodge. This is a more relaxed way to dress the mantelpiece rather than a more traditional trailing arrangement. I absolutely love this idea!

It was a real pleasure to make these wedding flowers for Jocelyn, her style and colour vision for the flowers was right up my street and I came away from the venue feeling very lucky to be a wedding florist!
