Flower Crown Inspiration – Bristol Florist

Flower crowns have been very popular this year with brides and their wedding flowers and I want to share with you a few lovely examples of how you can wear flowers in your hair on your wedding day. Not for everyone though, an alternative is to have a few select blooms wired into your hair do, which your hairdresser will be more than happy to do for you.

I love this simple foliage crown with statement blousy white peonies attached. Peonies are simply stunning to use within wedding work and a favourite amongst brides, although you must catch them at your best and book your wedding at the end of April through to early July in order to secure your favourite blooms! I also used a variety of foliage including eucalyptus, olive and natural looking grasses.

Other flowers that work well within floral crowns are roses and ranunculus, despite their delicate appearance they are quite a study flower when wired and will hold up throughout the whole of your wedding day. Flower circlets are a fiddly business and require the florist to wire all of the flowers and foliage used before wiring the complete circlet together. As the flowers are out of water for the day they will need to be created on the morning of your wedding!

A more traditional flower circlet works perfectly for brides wanting a simple selection of flowers within their hair. My bride Charley was married in August and chose a multi coloured mis match of seasonal flowers for her brighty coloured wedding flowers at Priston Mill.

If you are just wanting to add a simple floral touch within your hair then single wired flowers are a wonderful way to do this. They can be easily placed into the hair by your hairdresser and just the most simple touch can make all the difference and make the hair do come alive!
