The Great Tythe Barn Wedding Flowers
I have beautiful spring Great Tythe Barn Wedding Flowers to share with you on the blog today! Cat and John were married back in April and I filled the barn with so many gorgeous spring flowers! The colour palate was ivory and green, with lot of fresh green foliage. April is such a fantastic month for seasonal flowers including tulips, ranunculus, anemone, hyacinths, with lots of foliage too. Zingy fresh green viburnum is a beautiful foliage to use in the spring, alongside solomon’s seal which has tiny white beaded petals and the lushest green foliage.

At The Rose Shed we love barn weddings, and filling the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury in flowers is always such a joy! The cotswold barn gives you the option to either get married outside in the gardens under the pergola, or inside under the mezzanine. Cat and John were married inside in front of a beautiful spring meadow runner filled with delphiniums, larkspur, solomon seal, stocks with lots of foliage. The idea is to create this country garden/meadow feel as a backdrop to the ceremony. We also created a stunning growing installation which sat behind the ceremony table, this would become a statement backdrop for the whole day, behind the top table and also a fab opportunity as a photo backdrop, which guests always love!

Cat wanted a natural and elegant feel to her wedding flowers, so the bouquets were filled with lots of lovely foliage and seasonal flowers. The trailing nature of the solomon’s seal offers such texture to the bouquet really making them flow! The white ranunculus have so many fluffy layers of petals they are the perfect wedding flower for spring. For those of you wanting peonies, which are in season from the end of April to July, the ranunculus are a fabulous alternative available from around October to April.

The tables were dressed with lots of glass bottles of various heights filled with seasonal blooms. This is a simple, informal way to dress your wedding breakfast tables, particularly if you are having sharing style food. You can add height with tall, wispy flowers such as larkspur and scent with flowers such as stocks. Roses and peonies will be the beautiful show stopper flowers, the ones people will be talking about during the meal… all together these are the perfect spring flower combination.
