Spring Wedding Flowers – Bristol Wedding Florist

Although it feels like the Winter has lasted forreeever, the flower market is full of gorgeous spring delights at the moment and this is keeping me sane! As a wedding florist it is important to advise couples who are getting married on seasonality and flower choice. I love the spring and it is one of my favourite times of year especially for wedding flowers. This post features ideas for spring wedding flowers in pinks and ivory tones, full of gorgeous pictures and spring joy. Enjoy

I adore this bouquet, the soft pastel pink and ivory tones against the background of the grey foliage makes this a sophisticated choice for a spring bride with a pink colour theme. The ranunculus are just stunning, and in my mind, no couple should get married in spring without them! Here I have used soft pinks and whites, but they come in hot cerise, orange and yellows too which are perfect for a brighter wedding theme… In case you hadn’t realised, I love ranunculus!! The blousy nature of the Avalanche roses, work so well when they are snuggled up next to the ranunculus, yet the tough little Brunia and pale grey succulent foliage adds texture and interest to the bouquet, giving it that modern edge.

How lovely are these spring jam jars? Filled with muscari, ranunculus, roses, tulips genista, lisianthus, seed heads and eucalyptus, they are the height of pretty! Genista, also known as Broom is a fantastic filler to use in the spring, it comes in all sorts of subtle pastel shades and adds such movement to arrangements that most fillers do not… there is no need to use gyp when this fella is in town. Also, it has a very soft scent, again a must for when you are walking down the aisle, I always think that you want your bouquet to smell as pretty as it looks!

This bridal bouquet is a wild and wonderful, rustic hand-tied bouquet packed with thistles, Upper Secret roses, Pepita spray roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, broom and eucalytus. It is full of texture and interest, the sprigs of genista shooting up next to the spikes of thistle, a wonderful boquet for a bride looking for natural and rustic wedding flowers.

Here are just a few examples of spring flower buttonholes that would be perfect for the guys to wear. An eclectic mix of roses, muscari, narcissi ranunculus, various foliage and seed heads work so well together, and it is nice to mix it up a bit now  and then! What is your favourite Spring flower and how would you use it in your wedding?!
