Pynes House Wedding Flowers

I have the most stunning Pynes House Wedding Flowers to share with you today! Laurie and Nathan were married back in June and chose the most stylish, elegant all ivory wedding flowers for their big day. Pynes House is an exclusive, luxury wedding venue in Devon and is honestly one of the most beautiful venues I get to work in. So I was delighted when Laurie got in touch with her floral brief. Photography by the amazing David Wheeler.

Laurie wanted her bouquet to be filled with seasonal, blowsy ivory blooms so I used peonies, roses, spray roses with lots of textured soft grey foliage. A beautifully classic and elegant looking bouquet, this look is absolutely timeless and suited Laurie’s Suzanne Neville wedding dress perfectly. The buttonholes were spray roses with foliage sprigs.

The happy couple were married at Upton Pyne Church, a nearby church to Pynes House. I filled the inside of the church with stone urns sat either side of the altar. These natural, statement urns provide a beautiful background to the wedding ceremony, filled with seasonal flowers and soft foliage. Laurie had her heart set on a floral arch for the entrance to the church so I created this show stopping arch on the morning of the wedding. I have never seen rain like it on the morning of the wedding, I was absolutely soaked through creating this outside the church! Up a ladder in the pouring rain for a couple hours is just part of the glamour!! However, it was so worth it to see the beautiful finished results. More importantly the rain stopped just before Laurie entered the church… what a sign!

I filled the church arch with natural foliage to create the shape, tall white delphiniums, larkspur, campanula with placements of roses, spray roses and hydrangeas throughout. Such a stunning entrance to any wedding venue, floral arches really have become so popular. They are the perfect backdrop for photos and guests always love getting a photo under the arch too!

After the ceremony everyone moved onto Pynes House, the most spectacular wedding venue! I moved the church urns back to the venue and dressed the tables with elegant low vases filled with seasonal blooms. The mantel pieces were dressed with hydrangeas in glass vases. It is those special touches that really make the difference within a venue! Pynes House is so beautiful in itself so simple touches like this on the mantel work so well.
