July Wedding Flowers – Back from holiday with a bang!
After a lovely week off sunning myself in the beautiful Mallorca countryside I came back to a hugely flower filled week at The Rose Shed with four beautiful brides to flower for! In one week you can have so much variety with couples having their own style which differs greatly. I think the week sums that up and it is also a great example to show the huge variation available in summer wedding flowers. Spoilt for choice really is an under statement!

Kathryn got married at the beautiful Coombe Lodge on Thursday and chose a purple, ivory and magenta colour way. Her favourite flowers to use were sweet peas so I was more than happy to oblige! The ever so dainty, sweet smelling white variety made the bouquets and table decorations. I also used dahlias, ‘Blueberry’ roses, lisianthus, astrantia.

Coombe Lodge was decorated with glass fishbowls filled with a lovely tied bunch. Tied bunches were attached to the chairs outside, the sun shone beautifully all day so the happy couple were lucky enough to get wed outside!! Coombe lodge has the most beautiful grounds outside so this is such a treat. I added jam jars filled with seasonal flowers to decorate the mantel, a more laid back way and an alternative to the more classic and traditional trailing mantel peiece designs.

On Friday Shelley and Chris were married at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury, again the sun shone for these guys.. a very happy week in the wedding world if you can get sun for a whole weekend! Shelley chose soft ivory and pale pink tones for her bouquet I focused on using blousy O Hara roses, Sweet Avalanche roses, white sweet peas, white veronica and lisi with soft grey eucalyptus and senecio.

The bridesmaids wore cobalt blue dresses so I added in some warmer pinks in the form of splash sensation spray roses and pale blue delphiniums, the perfect powder blue colour! The stems of the bouquet were tied with hessian ribbon and twine. At the barn I used my milk churns and filled these with larkspur, delphiniums, stocks, roses, dill with lots of country style foliage. The perfect back drop to saying ‘I do’ at the barn!

Saturday came and I was back up to Coombe Lodge again with Fiona’s gorgeous wedding flowers. This bouquet makes my heart sing! The soft, natural, rustic nature to it with lots of texture and foliage is the perfect look for bride’s wanting a more natural looking bouquet. Filled with pale pink and dark plum, dahlias, three different types of astilbe (yes I am an astilbe fiend!) astrantia, nigella and ivory spray roses. It was important to use lots of foliage so I used eucalyptus, ferns, senecio, with stems of blackberries which I think set the whole look off!

The boys had mixed buttonholes including thistles, blackberries, spray roses, lisi with lots of foliage sprigs, all tied with twine these matched the bouquet perfectly. Coombe Lodge was decorated with an abundance of jam jars filled with seasonal flowers on the tables, a fab idea as you can give these away at the end of the night if you have collected the jars yourself!

The final wedding of the week was the lovely Katie and Bobby, getting married at Kings Weston House in Bristol this was my first wedding up there. Gorgeous views and a fantastic house with lots of quirky character. Katie chose a mix of cerise, coral, yellow and pale yellow flowers a real bright mix for the day which looked fantastic. I used coral vuvezela roses, cerise roses, yellow spray roses, cream lisi, coral dahlias with pale green succulents in her bouquet. Such a vibrant bouquet I love it!

The venue was kitted out with a floral arch where the couple said I do, jam jars hanging from the chairs, and mixed kilner jars, bottles and jam jars decorating the 20 tables! Another beautifully sunny day, all my couples this week were very lucky with the weather! Wishing you all lots of love and congratulations!
