Happy Christmas from The Rose Shed

As we are coming towards the end of 2014 I wanted to reflect on what a fabulous year I have had here at The Rose Shed. Wedding flowers are my passion and my main focus for the business and that’s what I well and truly focused on this year providing 82 happy couples with fantastic flowers for their big day. Working from January throughout the year finishing at the end of December I really do focus on the changing seasons as a florist, with every couple wanting something different this allows our working year to be so varied and versatile which makes me very happy indeed!

As I sit here and write this I am not sure where the year has gone, I am incredibly lucky to love my job the way I do and own a business derived from my passion! Lovlieness aside floristry is tough work and I work alone so apart from a few manic summer weekends where I have had help in the workshop, it is me who orders the flowers, collects from the market, conditions, arranges and delivers the flowers! Mix this in with lots of lovely meetings with couples getting wed, quote writing, accounts, admin and many a floor swept and kettle boiled you cannot argue with the variety owning your own business brings you!

2015 is set to be just as busy as this year with lots of lovely couples booking in to use The Rose Shed for their big day, I am also getting married myself next July so now that I am a little quieter throughout January I must get on and start finalising plans for our wedding! A quick note to all my couples this year, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you all and for you to let The Rose Shed be a tiny part of helping make your big day so special. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year!
