From Garden to Aisle: How local flowers enhance the beauty of your Devon Wedding
Have you ever wondered how local flowers can enhance the beauty of your Devon Wedding? Emily and Ed were married in June locally at Coxleigh Barton near Braunton and choose a gorgeous array of seasonal blooms in ivory with touches of soft yellow throughout. The pale soft yellow completely lifted the overall feel of the wedding flowers and offered that warm summer glow, that only yellow can bring. The biggest of Congratulations to these two and thank you to Paul Santos for sharing these stunning photos

Emily's bouquet was a natural design featuring seasonal blooms such as cosmos, oxeye daisies, white peonies, blousy pale yellow roses and ivory sweetpeas. I wanted the bouquet to feel light, airy and very pale so I avoided using any foliage at all and concentrated on using orlaya as a filler flower. This daintry, delicate flower is absolutely gorgeous at this time of year, very similar to cow parsley, however it is slightyl more sturdy and holds up in a bouquet a bit better. Isnt she the most beautiful bride, it is so important to discuss your dress style with your florist so you can make sure your bouquet compliments the dress and is an accessory, that will not take over. I think we reached the perfect combination having a really full bouquet, yet one that did not override Emily's stunning statement full skirt dress.

The bridesmaid bouquets carried similar versions of Emily's bouquet and looked fabulous against their brighter, satin dresses. The boys wore ivory buttonholes filled with smaller dainty roses and foliage sprigs.

The happy couple were lucky enough to have an outdoor wedding ceremony, which is always such a blessing! The aisle was dressed with meadow style floral arrangements that sat at the foot of each chair. Full of british foliage, tanacetum daisies

Coxleigh Barton is a Devon countryside wedding venue, with so much flexibility and scope to dress exactly to your taste. Emily and Ed hired World Inspired Tents to provide a sailcloth marquee for the reception. Long tables covered in forest green linen were adorned with simple glass bottles filled wiith country garden blooms. Scented stocks, daisies, fountain grass and blousy roses are a fabuous combination of seasonal wedding flowers avaiable in June.
