Cotswold Wedding Flowers - Luxury Marquee Blooms

I have been waiting to share these beautiful cotswold wedding flowers with you for sometime, however we had to wait until this gorgeous wedding was published on Love My Dress! The most stylish wedding blog out there, it is always such a thrill to see our couples big day featured, so thank you so much for sharing. I was asked to provide florals for Frederika and Ben for their wedding last March. We were in the depths of the pandemic so numbers were limited to just 15 people attending events, however this did not alter their desire to have the most stunning, floral filled wedding you can imagine!

Expertly planned by wedding planner Jen, Jennifer Louise Weddings, no detail was left unturned, and after various venue changes throughout 2020 and 2021 a cotswold country church and cute country pub were the decided venues. We filled with church with a natural, flower filled meadow aisle, which dressed both sides of the pews. This is the most romantic and dreamy walkway for any couple heading into say their vows! A real show stopper, and looks exquisite in the photos! Two large stone urns were placed either side of the altar, providing a classic and elegant backdrop to the wedding ceremony. We also placed a further two urns at the start of the aisle to make the entrance and greet guests.

We opted for a huge statement floral arch at the front of the church. I absolutely adore making archways, the logistics behind them are so different for each arch! We hope to be able to use of metal frames, however chicken wire and sausages are often a florist's best friend as we have to be so careful not to add any mechanics into the church wall. Existing nails in the stone or an attached light at the top are always a god send! The floral style was flower heavy, luxurious yet elegant and natural so I used a firm base of soft muted green foliage for the arch and focused on blousy blooms such as luxury roses, anthuriums, stocks, spray roses and hydrangeas in blush and ivory. After months of weddings being cancelled, I cannot tell you how amazing it was to be back doing what I love the most, up a ladder on a Saturday morning creating such beauty for our happy couples!

The bouquets were particularly special, filled with no foliage in a modern style of all ivory and blush seasonal blooms. In March 'Cloni' ranunculus are just insane, a super sized version of the normal ranunculus and the blush colour they come in is out of this world. They have layers upon layers of petals, making them the most luxurious spring bloom you can have. 'Cloni' ranunculus are also a superb alternative to out of season peonies, which lots of couples are keen to use in their wedding flowers. Mini white anthuriums provided that modern feel, and I used bundles of white spirea, which is a tiny blossom style foliage, which can outdo any flower in the pretty stakes in spring I think. I also focused on a selection of beautiful garden roses, such as O Hara, Westminster Abbey and .....

After the church ceremony guests made their way over to the reception, which was held just over the road in a stunning clear top marquee. We hung floral installations of anthuriums, eucalyptus, roses and snap dragons to create texture and interest in the roof. Meadow style florals dressed the base of the tables and we completely went to town on luxurious florals within the Tablescape.

The top table was dressed with a huge array of glass votives in various sizes to provide a full feel, yet not over complicate the top table. Blousy roses, anthuriums were placed against spirea branches in a really effective way. The remaining guest tables were dressed with low glass urns filled with a natural and elegant arrangement of seasonal blooms. Accompanied by flora votives and candlesticks throughout. Frederika and Ben's wedding showed us the importance of celebrating your marriage with your nearest and dearest, and how florals can bring such atmosphere to your big day.
