Coombe Lodge Wedding Flowers – Bristol Wedding Florist

At the end of September I provided some rather beautiful wedding flowers at Coombe Lodge, Blagdon in Bristol. A very popular wedding venue you can see why as soon as you pull up to the magnificent looking country house with the most stunning views of the Mendips. Jane and Gareth chose a very pale palette of soft blushes and ivory flowers and I thouroughly enjoyed making these wedding flowers for them.

Jane had a clear vision of what she wanted her bridal bouquet to look like, a neat, compact hand tied bouquet filled with O Hara roses, hydrangea florets, Avalanche roses and ivory spray roses. The bouquet looked good enough to eat with these sugary tones to it. The bouquet was finished off with gold glittery ribbon with trails that would hang down alongside her dress.

The bridesmaids bouquets had more pale pink flowers in them yet still the same shape and design, the O Hara roses are just stunning to work with and have the most amazing scent like an old fashioned rose.

Jane and Gareth were married at Bath Assembly rooms and opted to have glass bottles filled with hydrangea, roses and gyp to line the aisle, a great idea and alternative to chair ends. Two bottles were also placed on the ceremony table.

When it came to decorating Coombe Lodge with wedding flowers, Jane had bought some glass gold candlesticks which I placed a dome of flowers on top. The table decoration flowers included roses, hydrangeas, gyp and lisianthus with eucalyptus foliage. So very simple yet offering great impact.

I wish Jane and Gareth lots of love and happiness in their new married life together!
