Aynhoe Park Wedding Flowers

I have the most beautiful Aynhoe Park wedding flowers to share with you today! Aynhoe Park is one of the most unbelievable wedding venues I have worked in, an exclusive luxury wedding venue it is filled with so many treasures and antiquities you have to see it to believe it! Charlotte wanted her wedding flowers to be romantic, elegant, natural and flower filled with lots of trailing foliage, which couldn’t be more my style! When I heard Naomi Kenton was photographing the wedding I just knew it was going to be a magical day. Charlotte and Matthew’s wedding also won BRIDES magazine’s The Great British Wedding competition and had the magazine there at the wedding live documenting their stylish day.

It was such a pleasure working with Charlotte, our floral tastes matched perfectly as I used a combination of O Hara roses, dahlias, astilbe, astrantia, in the bouquets with eucalyptus and olive foliage. The natural bouquets were finished off with exquisite trailing ribbons from Kate Cullen, this is such a beautiful touch and complemented the pale green bridesmaids dresses perfectly.

The church is in the grounds of Aynhoe Park, which is in the prettiest Cotswolds village. I arranged two large statement urns at the front of the church, alongside trailing foliage on the end of the pews. A long meadow floral runner ran the width of the church to welcome all guests and all importantly the bride as they entered the church. I love creating such statement pieces, and adding high impact florals to a church is such a joy!

The wedding breakfast tables were dressed with low glass urns filled with a natural arrangement of sweet peas, roses, cosmos, astilbe and stocks with soft grey foliage. A simple yet really elegant style of arrangement perfect for round tables. Bud vases of white sweet peas, which offered a family significance were placed around the vase, and a foliage sprig on each napkin.

The orangery in Aynhoe Park is a dream to decorate, not only is there a hanging giraffe in the dance floor, there is a really high mantelpiece, which was calling out for flowers. I used beautiful long stem delphiniums, blowsy hydrangeas, scented O Hara roses and stocks, with lots of textured foliage to create this stunning arrangement. You really don’t get the scale of height from the photo, but believe you me this was very high!

I love this photo of Charlotte and her Dad, she looked absolutely stunning! We added lots of extra special touches throughout the house, such as this foliage garland on the staircase that lead down to the ground floor of Aynhoe Park.

I loved working with Charlotte and Matthew on their special day, providing Aynhoe Park wedding flowers has to be one of my wedding highlights! The florals were such an important part of the day and we put all our effort into making sure they were absolutely perfect. I received the most lovely card from Charlotte afterwards, which makes all the early starts and late nights totally worth it!
