Ash Barton Wedding Flowers - summer brights for a North Devon countryside wedding!

On the blog today I am sharing the most beautiful Ash Barton wedding flowers - summer brights for a North Devon countryside wedding! Rosie and James were married in July and were really keen to embrace colourful, seasonal blooms full of locally grown flowers. For a mid sumer wedding it is the perfect time to relish those warm tones with untamed seasonal blooms like these. A huge thank you to Ryan Goold Photography for these stunning photos, and great to work with other local suppliers such as Toni Gogola and Unity Events.

Colourful, British flower summer Bouquets:

Rosie chose a colour palette of rich reds, pinks, warm corals, pinks with hints of orange throughout, Julys is a fabulous month for seasonal blooms so you have so much variety and choice! I was lucky enough to use majority of Britihs blooms for this wedding, only topping up with the dutch roses. The big blosuy peonies were grown in Scotland can you believe! Peonies opitimise romance and country garden blooms, the sheer layers of petals they have really makes them a stunning choice flower. So Special!

Seasonal 'Just Picked' Bridal Bouquets:

The bouquets contained so many gorgoues flowers, including malope, geums, clary sage, scabious, mollis and scented sweet peas. I created the bouquets in my signature style of loose, natural yet elegantly placed, when using seasonal british flowers they definitely need to be arranged in this way! 'Just picked' for a north devon countryside wedding!

Ash Barton Ceremony Flowers:

Rosie and James had wanted an outdoor ceremony, because Ash Barton has a beautiful ceremonu space in a meadow by the lake, however in true British weather style we had encountered a storm the previous evening anf the winds and rain were still incoming on the morning of the wedding. There is always a wet weather plan and luckily the indoor ceremny space at Ash Barton is equally stunning. Named 'The Chapel' its an old stone barn with a romatic rustic vibe, covered in twinkly fairy lights, both my flirist and I said it reminded us of the Ross/Emily London wedding episode in Friends! Am I showing my age?!

Ash Barton wedding ceremony flowers

As wedding florists in Devon we are well practiced in working in situ and so created these gorgeous, impactful arrangements in stone vases on the morning of the wedding. By placing vases at different heights, you can create a really full, yet naturalistic display of blooms to really envelope you and frame you during the cermony. The vases can also be repurposed after the cermony too, to ensure you get to enjoy the flowers throghout the whole day! I love the amount of texture that the Cornish foliage brings to these vases, big branches of birch and beech alongside mock orange and pyschocarpus locally grown.

Ash Barton Wedding Reception Flowers:

For the wedding reception we dressed the 15 tables with a mixture of tall statement natural arranegments on glass vases and low floral bowls. The reception barn is huge with really tall ceilings, as you'd expect from a barn, and so adding height really works in the scenario. Yet you avoid being too symmetrical and formal, by adding in the mixture of the alternative low florals, something I highly recommend when providing Ash Barton wedding flowers
